Button Forge
Free game UI button generator. Recipe-driven, fantasy through modern, PNG out.
Eight recipe styles, from Flat and Glossy modern buttons to Wood Plank, Stone Carved, and Frost Queen for fantasy UI. Each recipe ships with a frame color palette and, where it makes sense, a set of bundled CC textures. Type your label, pick the colors and the texture, set the export size, download the PNG. Everything happens in the browser.
Hand-painting four button states per iteration is the kind of grind that quietly eats indie weeks. Button Forge collapses it to a recipe and an export.
- 01Pick a recipe from the dropdown. Frost Queen for ice fantasy, Wood Plank for medieval, Stone Carved for dungeon, Flat or Glossy for modern UI, Pill for tag chips.
- 02Type your label in the sidebar. Pick a frame color from the swatches and, on textured recipes, a wood / stone / ice texture.
- 03Tweak the export width × height, the text color, and the font size.
- 04Click Download PNG. The file is rasterized at your export size and saved with the recipe name.
- Nothing leaves your machine. No upload, no server, no account.
- Bundled textures are CC-licensed. They live at /button-forge/materials/ and are loaded into a canvas on demand.
- Refreshing the page resets the recipe. Hit Download PNG before you close the tab.
- State-set export (normal / hover / pressed / disabled) and sprite sheet packing are planned.
Is Button Forge free, and does it add a watermark?
Yes, completely free. No account, no upload, no watermark on the export.
How do I make a game UI button online?
Pick a recipe (Frost Queen, Wood Plank, Stone Carved, Glossy, Flat, Pill, plus more), type your label, pick frame and text colors, set the export size, and click Download PNG. The file is rasterized in the browser.
Can I make fantasy / RPG style buttons (wood, stone, ice)?
Yes. Wood Plank is medieval wooden plank UI, Stone Carved is dungeon stone slab UI, Frost Queen is icy magic UI. Each ships with bundled CC-licensed textures and a frame color palette.
Can I make modern flat or glossy buttons too?
Yes. Flat and Glossy recipes cover modern web / mobile UI styles. Pill is a tag / chip style. The full set spans fantasy through modern.
What format are the buttons exported in?
PNG, at any width × height you set. You pick the filename. Transparent background by default so the button drops cleanly onto your existing UI.
Can I use the buttons in commercial games?
Yes. Bundled textures are CC-licensed, and your generated PNGs are yours to use commercially with no attribution requirement on the tool itself. Check the individual CC license if you redistribute the raw texture files.
Are normal / hover / pressed / disabled state-sets supported?
Single-state PNG export today. State-set export (normal / hover / pressed / disabled) and sprite sheet packing are planned.
Where does my button artwork go?
Nowhere. Everything renders in your browser canvas. No upload, no server, no account.
