New Pixel Art

Custom:×
What it does

Start from a preset (tile, sprite, portrait, sheet) or import an existing image and pixelize it down to a sane grid. Paint with a 128-color palette plus custom picker, recent strip, primary and secondary slots. Pencil, eraser, spray, fill, eyedropper, line, rect. Brush sizes, zoom levels, grid toggle, full undo and redo, keyboard shortcuts. Export as PNG with your own filename.

Why it exists

Pixel-art tools tend to be either too heavy (Aseprite, Pyxel) or too thin (in-browser doodlers with no shortcuts and no fill). Pixel Forge sits in the middle. Real tools, real keys, runs in a tab.

How to use
  1. 01Pick a preset (tile, sprite, portrait, sheet), or import an existing image to pixelize down to a grid.
  2. 02Pick a primary color from the 128-color palette, the custom picker, or the recents strip. Right-click sets secondary.
  3. 03Paint. B pencil, E eraser, S spray, G fill, I eyedropper, L line, R rect. Use [ and ] to resize the brush.
  4. 04Need to back up? Ctrl+Z undoes, Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes. Ctrl+G toggles the pixel grid.
  5. 05When the sprite is done, Download PNG with your own filename. Refreshing the page wipes the canvas.
