Loop Forge

Free online video to GIF maker and trimmer. Drop a clip, trim it, export a clean WebM loop or 8-bit GIF.

What it does

Take any video file (mp4, webm, mov), pick the in and out points, optionally crop and scale, render a re-encoded WebM clip or an 8-bit GIF. Useful for game devs who need a polished loop for a store page, devlog post, social share, or showreel.

Why it exists

Recording a clip is easy. Trimming it cleanly, exporting at a sane size, and avoiding a cloud round-trip for a 10-second loop, that part takes longer than it should. Loop Forge collapses the whole flow into the browser.

How to use
  1. 01Drop a video file (mp4, webm, mov), or click to pick one.
  2. 02Trim. Drag the in and out sliders, or scrub the video and hit Set from playhead.
  3. 03Optional. Set crop by dragging a region on the video, choose scale (25 to 100%), choose speed (1x to 8x to skip frames).
  4. 04Pick a format. WebM is small and embeds anywhere. GIF travels everywhere but weighs more.
  5. 05Render. WebM finishes in roughly clip-length wall time. GIF takes longer because each frame is quantized.
  6. 06Download. Files save as <source>-loop.webm or .gif.
