Splice Forge cuts pieces out of a single source video and stitches the rest into one continuous clip. Drop a video, scrub to where you want a keep-region to begin, click + Add segment, drag the handles to size it, repeat for every part you want to keep. Pieces between segments are spliced out. Click Splice and out comes one merged file with just the bits you marked.
"Cut parts out of a video online" is the kind of thing that should be free, browser-native, and watermark-free. It almost never is. Trim tools handle a single in/out window; the moment you want multiple keep-regions you're pushed toward CapCut, an upload service, or a desktop editor. Splice Forge is the missing middle: multi-segment trim with zero upload and zero account.
- 01Drop a video file (mp4, webm, mov), or click to pick one.
- 02Play the video. When the playhead is roughly where you want a keep-region, click + Add segment at playhead. A default 2-second segment lands centered on the playhead.
- 03Drag the segment's left/right handles to size it. Drag the middle of the bar to slide it earlier or later. Click any segment row in the sidebar to jump the playhead to that segment's start.
- 04Repeat for every keep-region. Segments auto-sort by start time. The kept duration runs across the top so you know what the output length will be.
- 05Pick MP4 or WebM and Keep audio or strip it.
- 06Click Splice. Each segment plays back in real time on a hidden canvas while MediaRecorder captures the output.
- 07Download. Files save as <source>-spliced.mp4 or .webm.
- Render time is roughly the kept duration, since the canvas captures each segment at 1x playback.
- Segments are accurate to about 1/30th of a second. The actual cut may be off by one frame at the very edges depending on source container.
- Audio is captured live from the source video as it plays, so audio cuts cleanly at the splice boundaries (no crossfade by default).
- Overlapping segments merge visually on the timeline but the output uses each segment's start/end as-is — order is preserved by start time, not by add order.
- If you want to remove a small chunk in the middle of a video and keep everything else, the easiest pattern is: add segment from 0 → cut start, add second segment from cut end → end. Two segments, one excision.
- MediaRecorder doesn't ship the absolute strictest H.264 profile. Output should play everywhere modern, but if a target platform is fussy, re-encode the spliced file with Handbrake or ffmpeg.

How is this different from Trim Forge?
Trim Forge sets one IN/OUT window and exports that single segment. Splice Forge takes any number of keep-segments and stitches them into one output. Use Trim Forge to take the front five seconds off a clip; use Splice Forge to keep the highlights from a 30-minute recording and toss the rest.
Can I splice a part out of the middle of a video?
Yes. Add two segments: one from 0 to the start of the cut, one from the end of the cut to the video's end. Splice. The chunk between them is gone, the rest stitched together.
How precise are the splice points?
Frame-accurate to roughly 1/30th of a second. Browsers can't guarantee perfect sub-frame seeks on every container format, so the actual cut may be off by one frame at the very edges.
How long can the source video be?
There's no hard cap, but the practical limit is your browser's memory plus the wall-clock render time. The render takes about as long as the total kept duration. A few minutes of kept output is comfortable on most machines.
Will audio cuts be clean at the splice boundaries?
Yes, the audio is captured live from the source video as each segment plays. No crossfade is applied — the cuts are hard. For polished audio crossfades, you'd want a desktop editor.
Where does my video go?
Nowhere. The clip stays in your browser tab. There is no upload and no server processing.
Should I pick MP4 or WebM?
MP4 if you're uploading to platforms that prefer it (iPhone Camera Roll, Premiere, Discord embeds). WebM if you want a smaller file at the same visual quality, or if you're on Firefox where MP4 isn't available. Both play in modern browsers and on most social platforms.
